Private Lessons

SCCYO Summer Music Workshop will offer 20 minute private lessons with selected workshop teachers. Click here to learn more about the teachers.

Lessons will be schedule between 8am-9am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the week of the workshop. Students can register for up to three private lessons during the week. Your private instructor, day and time will be sent by email prior to the first day of the workshop.

The cost will be $20.00 per lesson.


Audition excerpts

Please send an audition video to by June 1st.

Audition feedback will be given to all students sending in a video. To audition for intermediate orchestra only, students need to play only Excerpt #1 of their instrument. To audition for the advanced orchestra, students should play only Excerpt #2 of their instrument. Students that audition for the advanced orchestra are not guaranteed to be placed in the advanced orchestra.

Uploading to google drive

1. On your computer, go to
2. Open or create a folder.
3. To upload files and folders, drag them into the Google Drive folder.
4. Once video is uploaded, right click on the video and click share.
5. Type "" into address box.

Uploading to Youtube

  1. At the top of the page, click Upload .

  2. Select Upload video.

  3. Before you start uploading the video, you can choose the video privacy settings.

  4. Select the video you'd like to upload from your computer. You can also import a video from Google Photos.

  5. As the video is uploading, you can edit both the basic information and the advanced settings of the video and decide if you want to notify subscribers (if you uncheck this option, no communication will be shared with your subscribers). Partners will also be able to adjust their Monetization settings. You can have a title up to 100 characters and a description up to 5,000 characters.

  6. Click Publish to finish uploading a public video to YouTube. If you set the video privacy setting to Private or Unlisted, just click Done to finish the upload or click Share to privately share your video.

  7. If you haven’t clicked Publish, your video won’t be viewable by other people. You can always publish your video at a later time in your Video Manager.
